| Results of the Second RAF Grant Round Are Announced (information)
In November, 2007 National Coordination Committees meetings were held in all Central Asia AIDS Control Project participant-countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan – where the winners of small grants of the Second Regional AIDS Fund (RAF) Grant Round were defined.
In second grant round the financing was provided to 64 governmental and non governmental organizations from four countries of the region which received small grants from Regional AIDS Fund on a total sum $1.4 mln. US dollars (including Republic of Kazakhstan $269 900 US dollars, Kyrgyz Republic $138 310 US dollars, Republic of Tajikistan $221 545 US dollars and Republic of Uzbekistan 836 504 US dollars).
In November, 2007 the signing ceremonies of frame agreements with the winners of small grants of the Second RAF Grant Round were held in all Central Asia AIDS Control Project participant-countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The names of the organizations – winners of the second grant round were determined by the National Coordination Committees of each Project participant-country after SPPs consideration submitted by the governmental, international and non governmental organizations, as well as private sector in which the sum of the required grant does not exceed 50 thousand US dollars.
According to RAF Coordinator, Mr. Zakir Kadirov round tables on the issues of financial management administration, projects monitoring and evaluation with the participation of small grants recipients of the Second grant round were held in all countries along with the frame agreements signing.

In the Republic of Kazakhstan - 7 non governmental organizations (NGO) and 2 governmental organizations (GO), 7 of which have inter-sectoral approach.

In Kyrgyz Republic - 6 NGO and 2 governmental organizations, 4 of which have inter-sectoral approach.

In the Republic of Tajikistan - 17 NGO and 4 GO, 21 of which have inter-sectoral approach.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan - 10 NGO and 19 governmental organizations, 39 of which have inter-sectoral approach.

Central Asia AIDS Control Project congratulates the winners of the second RAF grant round and wishes them fruitful work in realization of their projects aimed at the HIV infection reducing in each country of the region.
