Central Asia AIDS Control Project is announcing the 4th Grant Round (Grant IDA H1497C)
 
Central Asia AIDS Control Project financed by the International Development Association (IDA) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID), announcing the 4th Grant Round and inviting the National and International organizations to participate in theу Grant program.
 
The Project is covering 4 countries (Kazakhstan, The Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) and aims to contribute to controlling the spread of HIV in the Central Asia Region by strengthening the capacity and cooperation between the Public, Nongovernmental (NGOs) and the Private sectors on the Regional and National levels.
 
The Project includes the Regional AIDS Fund (RAF), which is established as a sustainable mechanism for financing the National and Regional initiatives, proposed by governmental, public, NGOs and Private Sector. Regional AIDS Fund awards grants on competitive basis. The maximum amount of grant award is 50 000 USD. The eligible applicants are: consortium of organizations/agencies, NGOs, governmental organizations and private sector entities. Scope of the projects should be National.
 
The Regional AIDS Fund in conjunction with Ministries of Health of all project participating countries refined 4 priority areas for financing for the 4th Round, which are:
- HIV prevention among IDU
- HIV prevention among CSW
- HIV prevention among MSM 
- HIV prevention among Migrants
 
Important: It is expected that proposed projects will be focused on provision of prevention services to the abovementioned high vulnerable groups. In an effort to provide more precise information on cost of prevention services CAAP has conducted costing exercise of prevention services in all 4 CA countries. Firstly, interested applicants have to be registered on the CAAP project web site www.caap.info. Second step is to submit Letter of Interest (LoI) with the short description of the project concept and the amount of requesting funds. Detailed instructions are provided in Russian on main homepage. The deadline for LoI’ submission is October 1, 2009. The Grant Round implementation schedule can be accessed here.
